Wooden Spoon has been SGi's company charity for the past five years. In that time, we've raised thousands of pounds for local children through fundraising activities that have included scaling the highest peaks in the UK, pedalling the Great Notts Bike Ride and running the London Marathon. We even raised £500 through a staff tuck shop.
Wooden Spoon is the children’s charity of the rugby world. For 25 years Spoon has harnessed the spirit and values of rugby to donate over £15 million to give disadvantaged children in Britain and Ireland a chance to achieve their full potential in life. Nottingham Wooden Spoon has already given money to Foxwood School to build an outdoor play area, and £35,000 to Rosehill School for a multi-media sensory facility.
